Inatex is pleased to introduce the Warom BHY Explosion-Proof Horn Loudspeaker, designed for industrial communication and public address systems operating in potentially explosive gas and dust atmospheres.
Suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas hazardous areas, and Zone 21 and Zone 22 dust hazardous areas, the BHY combines robust construction, corrosion resistance and excellent acoustic performance for demanding industrial environments.
Built for demanding conditions
The BHY features a die-cast aluminium alloy housing with a high-temperature electrostatic powder-coated finish and stainless steel exposed fasteners for enhanced corrosion resistance.
With an IP66 ingress protection rating, WF2 corrosion protection and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, the loudspeaker is designed for challenging industrial conditions.
Typical applications include oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, processing facilities and other hazardous-area installations requiring reliable audio communication.
Flexible system configurations
The BHY is available in several electrical configurations to accommodate different industrial public address and communication systems.
Key specifications include:
- Hazardous areas: Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22
- Gas protection: Ex db IIC T6 Gb
- Dust protection: Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db
- Power ratings: 5W to 50W
- Fixed impedance: 8Ω or 16Ω
- Constant voltage: 70V, 100V, 110V or 120V
- Ingress protection: IP66
- Operating temperature: -40°C to +70°C
